Over the course of her career, she has worked with both mission-driven organizations and publicly traded companies, building deep expertise in managing scholarly publishing programs, developing educational platforms, and growing research-focused businesses.
Most recently, Troise served as Chief Commercial Officer at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). In that role, she oversaw a broad portfolio that included scholarly journals, continuing medical education events, digital learning products, and strategic industry partnerships. Her leadership helped expand the organization’s commercial footprint while supporting its mission to advance orthopedic education and patient care.
Prior to joining AAOS, Troise held several senior leadership roles within the global publishing industry. She served as Vice President of the global medical journals program at Wolters Kluwer, where she managed a large portfolio of medical publications and helped guide editorial and commercial strategies for one of the world’s leading health information providers.
Earlier in her career, Troise also held senior positions at John Wiley & Sons, one of the most prominent academic publishers globally. Her responsibilities there included overseeing journal development, expanding publishing partnerships, and supporting the growth of scholarly communication platforms.
She also spent time working as a publisher at Nature Publishing Group, prior to its integration into Springer Nature. This experience gives her deep familiarity with the organization she now returns to in a senior leadership role.
