HRC Fertility, one of the largest and most respected providers of advanced fertility care in the United States, has announced its sponsorship of two major events dedicated to advancing reproductive and healthcare innovation. The organization is proudly sponsoring the 2025 American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Scientific Congress & Expo in San Antonio, Texas, as well as the 2025 Los Angeles Healthcare Awards, hosted by FutureMedLA, the charitable arm of the Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA)

Through these strategic partnerships, HRC Fertility reaffirms its mission to support clinical innovation, foster physician leadership, and promote advancements in science and medicine that lead to improved patient-centered outcomes. These sponsorships align with HRC Fertility’s longstanding commitment to advancing the future of reproductive care while supporting broader healthcare excellence in the Los Angeles region and beyond.

Advancing Reproductive Science at the 2025 ASRM Scientific Congress & Expo

The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Scientific Congress & Expo is among the world’s most influential gatherings for professionals in reproductive medicine. With decades of involvement in ASRM events, HRC Fertility continues to demonstrate its leadership in the field, championing innovation and collaboration among clinicians and researchers.

This year’s congress will once again highlight HRC Fertility’s strong presence, featuring a range of presentations from its distinguished physicians and researchers. Their participation underscores the organization’s continued dedication to advancing clinical practice, improving outcomes, and driving meaningful innovation in reproductive care.

Dr. Robert Boostanfar, a fertility and IVF physician at HRC Fertility’s Valley regional office and a principal investigator in multiple reproductive health studies, will play a central role in the ASRM program. Alongside Dr. Gus Haddad, Chief Medical Officer of Gameto, Dr. Boostanfar will share clinical insights from the pivotal U.S. Phase 3 Fertilo trial, which evaluates an investigational technology designed to mature eggs in the laboratory.

The Fertilo technology aims to reduce both the number of hormone injections and the overall duration required for IVF treatment. The Phase 3 Gameto FIRST study explores the potential of a stem-cell-derived co-culture system that allows for egg maturation after minimal stimulation. If successful, this approach could help streamline IVF treatment and lessen the physical and emotional burden on patients.

The Los Angeles region, where HRC Fertility is one of the participating clinical sites, recently reported an early pregnancy within the ongoing U.S. Phase 3 trial. While this represents a promising milestone, the treatment assignment for this case remains blinded. As Dr. Boostanfar and Dr. Haddad emphasize, no conclusions regarding Fertilo’s safety or effectiveness can be drawn until the full trial is completed. Currently, Fertilo remains an investigational product and has not yet been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Promoting Education, Equity, and Patient-Centered Research

In addition to the Fertilo trial presentation, several other HRC Fertility physicians will present new research and insights at ASRM 2025.

Dr. Katherine McDaniel, a fertility and IVF specialist at HRC Fertility’s Pasadena office, will present strategies for expanding fertility preservation counseling — a growing area of importance as more patients seek to preserve reproductive potential for future family planning.

She will be joined by Dr. Richard Paulson, also based at HRC Fertility Pasadena and a widely recognized expert in reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Paulson will share data on endometrial health, fertility-sparing management, and embryo transfer outcomes, contributing to the ongoing dialogue on optimizing IVF success rates and personalized treatment approaches.

Another Pasadena-based physician, Dr. Adriana Wong, will present her findings on the relationship between ovulatory disorders and long-term infertility, offering new insights into early detection and intervention strategies.

Adding to the program, Dr. Aileen Portugal, a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) fellow who will join HRC Fertility’s San Diego office in 2026, will present research focused on health equity, complex family planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in fellowship training. Her work highlights HRC Fertility’s ongoing commitment to inclusive care and the training of future physician leaders.

“As leaders in reproductive medicine, we believe that advancing science and empowering the next generation of clinicians and scientists is essential,” said Kerry Ayazi, Administrative President of HRC Fertility. “Our sponsorship of ASRM reflects our commitment to clinical innovation and ensuring that physician voices continue to shape the field — with research and patient-centered care at the forefront.”

Supporting Healthcare Excellence Across Los Angeles

Beyond its contributions to reproductive medicine, HRC Fertility is also a proud sponsor of the 2025 Los Angeles Healthcare Awards, hosted by FutureMedLA. The event will take place on November 14, 2025, at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, celebrating innovations in medicine and honoring the individuals and organizations that are transforming healthcare delivery across Los Angeles County.

The Los Angeles Healthcare Awards recognize excellence across a range of healthcare disciplines, from research and innovation to community health impact. By sponsoring this prestigious event, HRC Fertility joins a network of leading healthcare organizations dedicated to improving access to care, advancing medical education, and building a healthier, more equitable Los Angeles.

“On behalf of the FutureMedLA Board, I want to extend our sincere thanks to HRC Fertility for supporting the 2025 Los Angeles Healthcare Awards,” said Dr. Troy Elander, Chair of the FutureMedLA Foundation. “This event is more than a celebration — it’s a tribute to the healthcare champions and visionaries who are shaping a healthier, more equitable Los Angeles. Proceeds from the evening directly benefit FutureMedLA’s mission to support the next generation of physician leaders through medical student scholarships and leadership development. We’re honored to have HRC Fertility stand with us in advancing this vital work.”
